If you don't know by now, I am completely obsessed with all things southwest (design related, most definitely NOT the airline). So, naturally, I was beyond excited to visit New Mexico. Before we embarked on a wonderful trip to Taos, we spent one night in Albuquerque.
If you ever find yourself in this part of the country, you MUST make a stop at Los Poblanos Inn. Located on the northwest side of Albuquerque, or Burque if you're speaking like a local, this little gem is one of the most charming places I've ever stayed. It's a lavender and honey farm, which makes for some amazing scenery as well as delicious eats. The old architecture is incredibly quaint and cozy. The landscaping is full of beautiful flowers. And the grounds are patrolled by two amazing peacocks.
If you don't have time for an overnight, it's still worth the visit to the restaurant and farm shop, where lavender and honey are baked into almost every product. It doesn't get any sweeter than that.
